It will be a meeting of young people in the same space and time. In what world do they live? What challenges do they have? Do they worry about inequality, deforestation, politics? Or do they spend their days fighting themselves and their fears. We will let them speak.
These will be different stories, experiences and trials sublimated in the safe space they have created. They will mirror each other and their peers – merge and separate. Each of them is different and some would even say quite special.
You must be wondering who these people are and why you should come to them. So, a little bit about them to encourage you:
- They do not live in the past, the future, or the present. But they are always here.
- They spend time together almost every day, but they are not all friends.
- They are insanely afraid of not being believed.
- A group that values attention.
- Sensitive to criticism yet pretending that criticism doesn't affect them.
- They look for answers in their partners, but don’t always succeed.
- In terms of bad habits: -Nicotine (constant quitters), -Insomnia, -Slight alcohol consumption. But they say they will quit soon enough.
- They love playing with each other (sometimes with the guests too).
There will be many of them, but don’t be afraid, as they’ll keep a safe distance. A distance that they will try to decrease if you are open and patient.
Enough wasting time! We would like to introduce you to the 4th year students of the Latvian Academy of Culture's Drama Theatre Acting course! With great probability it’s going to be a meta irony about generations, but who cares – we present you the "Crystal Kids"!
Additional information: the performance contains swearing, smoking, and strobe lights.
