Mārtiņš Liepa, Sandija Dovgāne, Gerda Embure
The play is based on the diaries of two women describing their experiences during the war. Power and system change at their homeplace,and they fall prey to men from foreign armies. The woman's humanity, free will, self-esteem, and life become trophies that are seized without a second thought.Together with clocks, carpets, pots and washing machines, it becomes a form of conquest and a symbol of victory.
The play is staged as part of Valmiera Theatre's 2024/2025 season repertoire.
